We meet in a gym.
Resurrection meets in the Phillis Wheatley Community Center gym. That means kids are running around before and after church (watch out - because basketballs are flying!).
People dress in a whole range of attire - everything from dresses to jeans.
Our worship service lasts about 1 hour and 15 minutes long. Kids get wiggly, ask questions and need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the service - that’s ok!
Our worship follows a liturgy.
Every Sunday we sing, pray, confess and learn from God’s word what it means to follow Him in this world. We need to be reminded of the gospel because our hearts are prone to forget that we are broken and need Jesus. We love how slowly, over time, God changes our hearts through worshipping together.
We love kids.
We want our kids to enjoy coming into worship! We offer nursery during the entire worship service for ages 0-3 and Children’s Church is open to ages 4-6 during the sermon. Sunday School is at 9am during the school year for elementary aged kids.
